Turning shopping parks in convenience centers
“Our challenge is to take the “shopping park” concept towards a “convenience center”, offering to clients all the daily necessary services in a modern environment, differentiating from a classical retail park trough supplementary offer of gastronomy, entertainment, and services”, Clemens Petschnikar, CEO al Square 7 Properties, said in an interview for Agenda Constructiilor.
He added: “The real estate market is directly impacted by inflation, with very high pressure on construction costs. In retail, where we operate, demand for modern retail space remains high in secondary cities. The pandemic favored the business model of the products developed by Square 7 Properties, namely retail parks with food anchors, outdoor parking spaces and direct access to stores. Despite the many challenges – construction cost increases in 2022 of approximately 35%, lack of stocks and skilled labor – we continue our development plan.”
